Important Update - Transition to a Direct Payment Practice

Our office will be transitioning to direct payment practice effective 01/01/2026. We will no longer be accepting insurance as a form of payment for medical services.

As a courtesy to our patients who choose to transfer care to an insurance affiliated clinic we are continuing to accept insurance (Regence/Premera only) through 2025 in order to give everyone time to establish with new providers.

This decision was not made lightly and has been weighing on our team heavily for the past year.

There are several factors that have contributed to this change, including:

Excessive Administrative Burdens/Cost: The increasing time and costs associated with insurance billing, claim denials, and compliance requirements have significantly impacted the efficiency of our practice. We unfortunately are no longer able to afford the cost of providing this service.

Delayed and Insufficient Reimbursements: Insurance companies frequently underpay or delay payments, making it difficult for us to continue a relationship with these carriers. We have also struggled with patient balances that have significant delays in payment and/or lack of payment with large annual write offs for our practice.

Moving forward, my practice will operate on a direct payment model. This means patients will be responsible for payment at the time of service. We can provide detailed receipts so that you may independently submit claims to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.

We understand that this will be an unfortunate decision for many of our patients and we sincerely apologize for this. Please know that we have spent considerable time, effort and money attempting to resolve these issues.

Note that your lab work, imaging orders and referrals can still bill to your insurance company as normal.
